CLEAF Thermo Structured Surface boards are made from unique decorative papers that are treated with melamine resins that under heat and pressure become part of the panel itself hence the term Thermo Structured Surface (TSS). The application of an irreversible thermal hardening treatment and the special preparation and processing, allow remarkable 3dimensional effects, bringing the surface to life and endowing it with extraordinary technical performance.
The company mission is to create a super glossy and eco-compatible perfect product that can be used to create unique finishes, difficult or impossible to manufacture with other solutions on the market. The main customers are kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, interior doors and coverings producers; the state-of-the-art solutions are in line with market trends and with the demand for products that have special and unusual finishes, but at the same time cost competitive.
HPL (High Pressure Laminate ) is a very durable material produced from cellulose fibers impregnated with thermo-stable resins (phenolic and melamine ) and pressed at 10 MPa = 100 Kg / cm2 , in high temperature conditions . The resulting product is a board characterized by good behavior while keeps its original flatness and size even in extreme environmental conditions. The top layer is an acrylic lacquer, which contains special additives to protect against UV rays and water.
Medium-density fiberboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibers, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming panels by applying high temperature and pressure. MDF is generally denser than plywood. It is stronger and much denser than particle board. Some varieties are less expensive than many natural woods, its properties are the same in all directions as a result of no grain, so no tendency to split, it is flexible. Can be used for curved walls or surfaces, it has stable dimensions (won't expand or contract like wood). Painting and lacquering gives MDF an unique high quality finish.
Veneer is a thin sheet of wood, generally with thickness between 0.5-2mm, cut from logs, and represents the most elegant form of expression and at the same time, the highest form of exploitation of timber. Veneer logs represent no more than 5% of a forest, since it must meet many conditions: shape, size, lack of nodes, structure and color. Each sheet of veneer is unique. Every tree is unique. Sheets of logs are similar but not identical; there will be always differences between the sheets of veneer.

It is a special material designed by French engineers, consisting of two layers. The top layer is a natural veneer, of different species and finishes, covered with resins at high pressure and temperature. The lower layer is a support layer of HPL. Among unique specifications that makes Oberflex a top quality material are: abrasion resistance, impact resistance, scratch resistance, very high resistance to UV light, fire resistance, cigarette burning resistance, no attack by common-type products.
With a composition of 92 % silica particles, in the form of quartz or sand, Stone Italiana worktops are antiseptic materials highly resistant to scratches and heat.
